FAQ's

You should see a shoulder doctor if your pain has lasted longer than one – two weeks. If your discomfort hasn’t improved with over-the-counter painkillers, rest, and ice, it may be time to see a professional.

Yes, most pain can be treated without surgery. Most conditions can be treated successfully without the need for invasive treatments. Surgery is often only required in the most serious of cases

We usually start with conservative treatments, including physical therapy, anti-inflammatory medications, activity modification, ice, rest, and sometimes corticosteroid injections, before considering surgery.

Our orthopedic specialists will conduct physical examinations, medical history review, X-rays, MRI scans, and in some cases, arthroscopy to accurately diagnose the specific cause of your pain.

The duration of your treatment will depend on the type and severity of the injury or condition you have. Your orthopedic specialist will discuss your treatments plan with you and give you a clearer picture of your recovery plan and timeline.

The goal of treatment is to get you back to doing all of the things you did before, free of pain. Our specialists will work with you to come up with a personalized treatment plan so you can get moving again.

Most insurance plans cover medically necessary treatments, including physical therapy, injections, and surgery when conservative options fail. Check with your insurance company to see what your plan covers.
