Catholic Health (“Catholic Health,” “We,” or “Our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy.

This policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you visit the website as well as all other websites owned, operated, licensed or controlled by Catholic Health (collectively, our “Website”) and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.

This policy does not apply to information collected by us offline or on any other online services, including apps and websites not maintained or controlled by us, including sites or online services you may access through links or embedded features on the Website. Other online services may have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read before providing information on or through them.

Please read this policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. By accessing or using our Website, you agree to the terms in this privacy policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, do not access or use our Website. This policy may change from time to time (see Changes to Our Privacy Policy). Your continued use of this Website after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check the policy periodically for updates.

As you navigate through and interact with our Website, we may use automatic data collection technologies to collect certain information about your equipment, browsing actions, and patterns, including:

  • Details of your visits to our Website, including traffic data, location data, logs, and other communication data and the resources that you access and use on the Website.
  • Information about your computer and internet connection, including your IP address, operating system and browser type.

We may also use these technologies to collect information about your online activities over time and across third-party websites or other online services (behavioral tracking).

The information we collect automatically may include personal information, and we may maintain such information or associate it with personal information we collect in other ways or receive from third parties. It helps us to improve our Website and to deliver a better and more personalized service.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We, along with the service providers that help support our Website, use cookies, pixels, and other data collection technologies to collect your information. “Cookies” are small text files that are sent to your web browser or device hard drive to store information about your computer, such as a user ID, user settings, browsing history and activities conducted while using the Website. A cookie typically contains the name of the domain (internet location) from which the cookie originated, the “lifetime” of the cookie (i.e., when it expires) and a randomly generated unique number or similar identifier. We use cookies and related technologies to improve your experience while using the Website and browsing the internet. While the cookies we may use change from time to time, they generally fall into one of the following categories:

  • Strictly necessary cookies. These cookies are strictly necessary in order for you to use the Website, load and view content, and access your account.
  • Functionality cookies. These cookies help us remember you and personalize features and content for you on the Website.
  • Preference cookies. These cookies allow us to capture and store your information privacy related preferences (e.g., your opt-in and opt-out), account settings, and certain login information.
  • Analytics cookies. These cookies help us and our service providers compile statistics and analytics about platform users, including traffic, usage, demographic, and trend data. For example, we use Google Analytics to help us understand how users engage with the platform. Google Analytics uses cookies to track your interactions with the platform, then collects that information and reports it to us. This information helps us improve the Website so that we can better serve you. If you wish, you can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.
  • Advertising cookies. These cookies will display advertising on the Website and on third-party websites and services. Some of these advertisements may be interest-based, meaning that they are tailored to your interests or behaviors on the Website or on other websites.

Web browsers allow some control of most cookies through the browser settings. Some web browsers provide settings that allow you to reject cookies or to alert you when a cookie is placed on your computer or mobile device. Most mobile devices also offer settings to reject mobile device identifiers. Although you are not required to accept cookies or mobile device identifiers, blocking or rejecting them may prevent access to some or all features available through the Website.

Certain of the pages on the Website may also include social sharing widgets or links to social media sites, like LinkedIn, Twitter or Facebook. These features may collect your IP address and may set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly. Social media features and widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on the Website. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy of the company providing it.

We do not control these third parties’ tracking technologies or how such third parties use your information to serve interest-based advertising. However, these third parties may provide you with ways to choose not to have your information collected or used in this way. You can opt out of receiving targeted ads from members of the Network Advertising Initiative (“NAI”) on the NAI’s website. If you have any questions about an advertisement or other targeted content, you should contact the responsible provider directly.

Do Not Track Signals

Some web browsers include a “Do Not Track” feature that signals to websites that a user does not want to have their internet activity tracked. While we are committed to respecting your privacy choices, these features are not uniform. For that reason, like many websites and online services, we do not currently recognize or respond to these Do Not Track signals.
