Important Message: MyChart Phishing Scam Warning

Catholic Health is alerting patients and community members about phishing emails that falsely use the MyChart name and logo to appear legitimate. A phishing email or text is a fraudulent message designed to mimic a trusted organization—to trick the recipient into revealing sensitive personal information.

These messages may reference a "2026 MyChart Senior Health Package," a “MyChart Medicare Kit,” Medicare wellness benefits, or a free health kit, and ask recipients to click a link, confirm an address, or provide personal information.

These emails are fraudulent and are not affiliated with MyChart or Catholic Health.

If you receive one of these messages:

  • Do not click any links, including “unsubscribe” links or open any attachments
  • Do not reply to the email
  • Do not provide personal, medical, financial, or insurance information
  • Delete the email immediately

What can you do to protect yourself?

  • Always verify the sender’s email and web address when you receive an email.
  • Be cautious of unexpected emails offering Medicare kits, benefits, free offers, rewards, or account updates.
  • Be suspicious of emails requesting personal or financial information.
  • Watch for spelling or grammatical errors, unusual wording or urgent requests.

If you are unsure whether a MyChart-related email is legitimate, contact your healthcare provider directly using a phone number from an official website or other trusted source. Verify phone numbers carefully before dialing; scammers frequently use numbers that closely resemble official contacts.

Paperless Billing

As of November 5, 2024, all Catholic Health MyChart users are automatically enrolled in paperless billing. With paperless billing, you receive email or text message notifications about new bills and can make payments in Catholic Health MyChart or the Catholic Health app. You will not receive paper statements in the mail for most of your bills from us.
