Pediatric Therapies

Our therapists are experts in rehabilitation needs for children of all ages and at all stages of development.

For an infant, our therapists work on achieving age-appropriate developmental motor milestones, including rolling, sitting, crawling and walking.

For a preschooler or school-aged child, they will work on the areas that interfere with the child’s ability to safely navigate the school environment, interact with peers, and actively participate in age-appropriate activities as well as perform daily activities such as getting dressed and eating.

Services are offered at Good Samaritan Hospital (West Islip, NY) and St. Charles Hospital (Port Jefferson, NY).

Our therapists work with children from infancy through adolescence to address speech and language development and/or swallowing disorders.

Voice therapy helps children maximize their receptive and expressive language skills. Therapists also treat hearing and attention problems in children with communication delays and/or disorders.

Services are offered at Good Samaritan Hospital (West Islip, NY) and St. Charles Hospital (Port Jefferson, NY).

Occupational therapists, speech pathologists and registered dietitians help your child achieve independent, efficient and safe feeding skills.

Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) are performed by a pediatric speech pathologist in conjunction with a pediatric radiologist. This test assesses a child’s swallow function to determine appropriate therapeutic options.

Services are offered at Good Samaritan Hospital (West Islip, NY) and St. Charles Hospital (Port Jefferson, NY).
