St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center has appointed Cynthia H. Danner, DNP, RN, NE-BC, as its new Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer. In this role, Dr. Danner will lead the hospital’s nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high quality patient care in alignment with the mission, vision and values of St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center and Catholic Health’s.

Cindy’s leadership will empower our nurses to not only maintain this exceptional standard of care, but also elevate it to new levels of clinical excellence.”
Dr. Danner brings more than 40 years of experience in clinical nursing and health care administration to St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center. Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer at Brown University Health’s Rhode Island and Hasbro Children’s Hospitals. Prior to this, Dr. Danner held a number of leadership roles at hospitals in Georgia and Florida, including Associate Chief Nursing Officer at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville, Chief Nursing Officer at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Braselton and Nurse Administrator at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida.
Dr. Danner earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Old Dominion University, a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of North Florida.
