students at Cradle of Aviation

Catholic Health and The Cradle of Aviation Museum and Education Center today announced a new partnership, giving Catholic Health naming rights to the Garden City facility’s Sky Theater Planetarium. With its state-of-the-art, high-resolution projection and immersive sound system, this all-digital planetarium offers an extraordinary experience for visitors.
To kick off the partnership, The Cradle of Aviation and Catholic Health hosted a special event to promote the value of STEM skills to more than 550 middle school students. This included science, technology, engineering and mathematics workshops, where students could see the connection between their own emerging skill development and possible careers in both health care and aviation.
“The Cradle of Aviation offers Long Island schools and families a place where imaginations take flight,” said Catholic Health President and CEO Patrick O’Shaughnessy, DO, MBA. “We feel very aligned with their vision to educate the public and inspire a sense of community, and we are very proud to be partnered. The newly renamed Catholic Health Sky Theater Planetarium is a venue that will continue to inspire young minds to reach for the sky.”
Catholic Health and The Cradle of Aviation Museum are committed to fostering the wonders of STEM for the next generation. The Catholic Health Sky Theater Planetarium amplifies this mission by providing an unmatched platform for captivating, educational experiences.
“We’re excited to partner with Catholic Health,” said Cradle of Aviation Museum President Andrew Parton. “As a STEM education launchpad on Long Island, we inspire future generations to explore endless STEM possibilities, expanding our reach with Catholic Health’s commitment to health and wellness.”
