Catholic Health’s Good Samaritan University Hospital has appointed Karen T. Fasano, DNP, MBA, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, its new Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). In this role, Dr. Fasano will lead the hospital’s nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high quality patient care in alignment with the mission, vision and values of Good Samaritan University Hospital and Catholic Health.

Dr. Fasano brings more than 30 years of experience in clinical nursing and health administration to Good Samaritan University Hospital. Most recently, she served as Chief Nursing Officer at Catholic Health’s St. Catherine of Siena Hospital. Prior to joining the system, she held numerous leadership roles at hospitals and health systems in Connecticut, including Vice President of Patient Care Services at Central Region Hartford Healthcare, Director of Clinical Operations at the Hospital of Central Connecticut, Intensive Care Unit and Respiratory Therapy Operations Manager at Bristol Hospital and more.
