Catholic Health has named Christine Flaherty, CCM, senior vice president of real estate development & facilities management. Flaherty will oversee all activities related to facility planning, design, construction and maintenance. She will also be charged with developing Catholic Health’s real estate strategy and managing the health system’s property portfolio.
“Catholic Health continues to expand its services throughout our region as we strive to make health care locations even more convenient for Long Islanders,” said Catholic Health Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Dennis Verzi. “Christine will be key to our strategy and we are excited for a bright future under her leadership.”
Flaherty joins Catholic Health from NYC Health + Hospitals where she served as senior vice president, facilities development where she lead all real estate, planning, design, construction and facilities operations for the largest public health system in the country. Prior to that she worked for NYC Department of Design & Construction and STV, Inc.
“As the health care landscape continues to change, it’s more important than ever to identity how to best serve our patients,” said Flaherty. “Continued expansion and growth is key to making care more accessible to patients and their families.”
Flaherty earned her bachelor’s in civil engineering from Bucknell University and a Master of Business Administration from New York University Stern School of Business.
