Catholic Health Announces First Ambulatory/Urgent Care Facility

Catholic Health continued its health care expansion across Long Island Monday with a groundbreaking ceremony in Suffolk County. The health system announced its plan to open Catholic Health Ambulatory & Urgent Care in Centereach. This marks the first Catholic Health facility to offer immediate care services in an outpatient setting.     

The multispecialty practice, located at 2112 Middle Country Road, will also offer primary care, women’s health, behavioral health, cardiology, neurosciences and orthopedics. The 63,000-square-foot facility is part of a $17 million development project that further strengthens Catholic Health’s goal of making quality health care more convenient for Long Islanders.

Catholic Health Ambulatory & Urgent Care is the latest expansion project for the Rockville Centre-based health system which recently announced plans for a $500 million patient care pavilion at its Good Samaritan Hospital campus in West Islip.

Monday’s groundbreaking ceremony, which featured members of Catholic Health leadership, Simone Healthcare Development, elected officials and community leaders signified the start of the construction project which will be complete in the spring of 2023.
