Visitor Policy
All visitors must be 12 years of age or older.
Hospital visiting hours: 8:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m.
Inpatient visits: Visitors are limited to no more than two (2) at a bedside, unless extenuating circumstances
Emergency Department (ED): Visiting hours are 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week. For the Adult ED and 1East Clinical Decision Unit (CDU), only 1 visitor per patient.
A doula may accompany a maternal patient in the emergency department except during emergency treatment or procedures or when the presence of a doula could compromise the safety of the patient or health care team as determined by any member of the health care team.
Labor & Delivery: One support person essential to patient care throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period is permitted. This person can be the patient’s spouse, partner, sibling, or another person they choose. In these settings, this person will be the only support person allowed to be present during the patient’s care. This individual would be provided the appropriate PPE and remain for the duration.
Two (2) healthy persons, one of which may be a doula, are permitted on the Labor and Delivery Unit to provide support and additional comfort to the maternal patient. The role of a doula is valued and access is always permitted except during emergencies or when such access could compromise the safety of the patient or health care team.
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit: Parents and/or individuals with the infant ID bracelet on are permitted to visit at all hours except 6:30 am-8:00 am and 6:30 pm-8:00 pm. Grandparents and/or designated individuals may visit with parents and/or designated individuals with the infant ID bracelet on. Maximum is 2 persons at the bedside at a time.
Visiting times and number of visitors may vary depending on unit acuity.
