At Good Samaritan University Hospital, our patients are our highest priority. Founded by the Daughters of Wisdom, Good Samaritan University Hospital now spans two campuses: one in West Islip and our St. Charles Campus in Port Jefferson. Together, we serve Long Island’s north and south shore communities with exceptional inpatient and outpatient services. 

As part of Catholic Health, we provide millions of dollars in charity care each year, simultaneously funding scholarships for young people, sustaining nearby health clinics for the medically underserved or financially distressed and offering free health screenings and educational programs at local community centers.

 Good Samaritan’s all-new Patient Care Pavilion is taking inpatient care to a new level, including dedicated Emergency Care Departments for adult and pediatric patients and state-of-the-art private rooms. Learn more about our Patient Care Pavilion.

Our many specialty services include the cardiovascular expertise of St. Francis Heart Center, right here on our campus. Additionally, Good Samaritan is highly recognized for stroke care, cancer care, neurology, orthopedic surgery, pulmonology, gastroenterology, infectious diseases, nephrology and maternity care.
